Dialie, the fleet management provider, has introduced a new mobile feature that lets users make taxi reservations from their IPhone. The new site, which is available here, supports taxi companies across the country.
To order a cab, Iphone users specify the location, the date and the taxicab at proximity, or the taxi company they wish to be picked-up. Alternatively, users can request to see all available taxicabs using Dialie's GPS tracking and dispatching in the area – a feature that will be a lifesaver for those last-minute pick-up reservations. A quick run through TaxiWeb on an iPhone worked well, allowing me to find an available taxicab and get a confirmation in less than five minutes.
