Security Cameras enhance vehicle safety, driver behavior and cab owner employee control.
Cameras are design to not interact with the driver mirror, vision or safety. But still have a wide field of vision to capture all of the vehicle’s passengers; it may depend on the make and model of the taxi but usually, the cameras are installed on top of the rear mirror.

Built to last, Cameras are reliable, solid (impact and shock resistant) and stable: the systems are protected against voltage irregularities and have their own battery against power failures. All the cameras have a trouble shooting mode that can help the installer or the inspection to insure the good working condition of the unit.

Tamperproof with none volatile memory to allow the recollection of the picture by the authorized party (a restricted access can be set so that only the police or the city can visualize the pictures and video recorded).

Cameras are equipped with an Infrared Light to clearly record images in all lighting conditions, including bright sunshine, shade, darkness, total darkness, and when strong backlighting is present;

An emergency button can, in addition of saving the information to an overwritten protected memory, send the picture through the GPRS network to a competent instance (optional).

If allowed by the legislator, Cameras can enable a unique special feature that saves a second copy of the pictures or videos triggered when there is a credit card transaction. This will help to verify and control fraudulent charge-back made by the card holders.
